portals. Additionally, the presence of a concentrator plant is
highlighted, which was the main facility for the extraction
and processing of minerals from all the mines in the city of
Hualgayoc.
In Figure 3, it is observed that 52% of the environ-
mental liabilities come from just two sectors. Additionally,
less than 5% of the environmental liabilities correspond to
three sectors.
For the Sinchao area, the distribution of environmental
liabilities is as follows:
In Figure 4, it is observed that 55% of the environ-
mental liabilities correspond to the Tres Amigos and
Abastecedora mines.
Physical Stability
The physical stability of the remediated tailings and waste
rock dumps is being evaluated through long-term monitor-
ing, using tracking benchmarks.
This approach allows for the identification of changes
in physical stability, environmental conditions, or other
periods throughout mine closure and post- closure phases.
Displacement Velocity
Velocity not only indicates how much the structure is mov-
ing but also whether the rate of displacement is increasing.
An increase in the velocity of movement can serve as an
early warning sign of progressive instability.
