exhibits a variation of 25 cm, while points H‑01 and H‑03
show a variation of 24 cm. Finally, point H‑20 records the
smallest variation, with 13 cm.
Figure 9 shows that, over time from 2014 to 2022,
the elevation of Tailings 2 exhibits slight variation, rang-
ing between 26 and 40 cm at different measured milestone
points. Additionally, it is observed that the variation stabi-
lizes starting in December 2019.
Point H‑06 exhibits the largest variation, with 40 cm,
followed by point H‑01 with a variation of 39 cm. Point
H‑03 shows a variation of 33 cm, point H‑04 a variation of
32 cm, point H‑20 a variation of 31 cm, and finally, point
H‑02 presents the smallest variation, with 26 cm.
For our calculations of displacement velocity, total dis-
placement, direction of movement, and stability index, the
initial and final measurement points corresponding to June
2014 and December 2022 are considered.
Table 1 shows that the total displacement variation
between 2014 and 2022 ranges from 35 cm to 53 cm. The
orientation of this ground movement varies between 43.84°
and 77.52°. Additionally, the recorded stability index ranges
from 0.17 to 0.30.
Higher stability index values reflect greater stability,
while values such as 0.17, corresponding to point H‑20,
indicate very low stability. This particular case requires fur-
ther analysis to ensure there are no significant future risks.
Waste Rock Dump
In our study, we analyzed the CDC‑1 waste dump, located
in the Constancia mine, within the Sinchao area.
The analysis of the milestones of the waste dump has
been conducted by considering three specific points located
in its lower zones. The objective is to determine whether it
continues to shift over time. For this monitoring, data col-
lected from 2006 to 2022 has been analyzed, allowing the
evaluation of the displacement trajectory in the North and
East coordinates.
Figure 10 shows that the general displacement in the
North coordinate varies between 3 mm and 5 cm, while
