Barbery, 1984, Gontijo, 2007, Hobert, et al., 2023), flota-
tion performance is strongly dependent on particle size and
liberation. To obtain targeted metallurgical results, mineral
particles need to be in a certain size range to avoid typically
low flotation rates caused by hydrodynamic cell conditions.
Mineral liberation also influences the flotation recovery
through its relationship with the collection probability
and transport in flotation operations. Therefore, to study
these factors in the Antamina project, samples were taken
at the same time from the industrial concentrator plant and
from the CPF pilot plant to evaluate recoveries by size in
both processes. Size-by-size analyses of these samples were
carried out. Figures 12 and Figure 13 show these results
