The pilot tests were conducted with the rougher tail-
ings, which were pumped to the CPF plant. During the
pilot plant commissioning, the sample collection and trans-
port system were configured to ensure feeding a representa-
tive sample (PSD and grades) as well as to provide constant
and stable feed flowrates.
CPF Pilot Test Work Results
As reported by others (Hobert, et al., 2023 Arburo, et al.,
2022 Kohmuench et al., 2007 Castillo et al., 2015), and
confirmed at Antamina, the test equipment and procedures
developed by Eriez are found to provide adequate metal-
lurgical scalability of HydroFloat technology. Figure 10
and Figure 11 show box plots of recoveries of Cu and Zn
obtained from the pilot test work populations vs recoveries
obtained from the laboratory test work populations. In these
plots, the minimum and maximum recovery from each pop-
ulation are shown as intervals (solid blue lines) and the first
quartile, median and third quartiles are shown as indicated
in the respective shaded boxes. As can be seen, recoveries
