Flotation Results
Bench Scale Flotation Results
Flotation results consist of rougher and open cleaner test.
The conditions of the flotation experiments are derived
from previous studies thus this paper focuses on modeling
and simulation therefore only relevant rougher and cleaner
data is taken as a reference in Table 7 and Table 8.
The rougher flotation experiment results can be seen
in Figure 9
The rougher flotation kinetic results showed that stages
recoveries reached to 95% by end of 23 minutes of flotation
time. It can be seen from Figure 9 that stage recoveries have
drastically increased after sodium di-isobutyldithiophosph-
inate (Aerophine 3418A) addition. Sodium di-isobutyldi-
thiophosphinate has a recovery booster effect on copper
recovery.
Open cleaner flotation experiment results can be seen
in Figure 10.
According to the open cleaner experiment copper
stage recoveries are varying between 94% and 55.7% from
rougher to fourth cleaner. Copper grade upgrade is limited
through the cleaners due to the disseminated pyrite into
copper minerals.
Batch Simulation Results
Batch simulation results can be seen in Figure 11. The batch
simulation was conducted using the kinetic data from refer-
ence rougher and open cleaner experiments. Furthermore,
in the simulation model the selected flotation times are
same as reference tests such as 15, 8, 15, 8, 4, 3 for rougher,
scavenger, first cleaner, second cleaner, third cleaner, and
fourth cleaner, respectively.
