SUMMARY
E-Iron International has assembled a patent portfolio of
more than thirty patents. The E-Iron Process will produce
low cost pig iron by converting steel mill waste or mid-
grade iron ore into pig iron nuggets with the use of low cost
waste wood as the reductant. The process will produce pig
iron with 85% lower carbon emissions than a blast furnace.
The market for E- Iron is to replace a part of the 4 million
tonnes of pig iron currently being imported into the United
States. A major importer of pig iron has been engaged as
E-Iron’s exclusive sales agent. The modular design of an
E-Iron plant will allow the placement of future plants adja-
cent to electric arc steel mills and iron foundries that will
convert their in-house generated steel mill waste, supple-
mented by mid-grade, unpelletized, 58–60% iron ore, into
a captive supply of pig iron.
