HPGR Wet Screening at 3 mm
Screens at 3 mm with the help of water will develop high
classification efficiency of screens. In addition, the use of
HPGR technology to achieve fine particle size distribution,
together with the use of wet screening, will increase the lib-
eration of gangue and will improve the separation efficiency
of the cobbing LIMS and decrease the downstream grind-
ing energy requirements.
Cobbing Stage
The application of LIMS technology prior to the primary
grinding circuit will reject non-magnetic gangue with high
hardness (35% less mass), avoid the intensive use of energy
and consumables (balls, liners, etc.) in the grinding. The
BWI (kwh/tm) of the cobbing concentrate will be lower
than the hardness index of the crude ore. This will have a
positive impact downstream on the next primary milling
circuit.
High-Frequency Screening in Primary and Secondary
Grinding Circuits
The use of closed cycle high-frequency screening tech-
nology2 of the grinding circuits (primary and secondary)
will demonstrate high classification efficiency and low
