Orebody assessment, amenability, mine design and
process design to accommodate preconcentration are still
not everyday tasks and the process is far from seamless. As
with any decision-making process, they work best when
there is confidence in the process and certainty in the out-
comes. At the moment, the industry is trying to respond to
a range of challenges with, as yet, undefined solutions, but
it is clear that preconcentration needs to be an integral part
of this whole debate.
