circuit, Gruyere is also similar to Côté with a gravity circuit
followed by leaching.
This testing and scale up allowed Weir to select an
Enduron ® rpm 240/240 HPGR for the Cote Gold project
as seen in Figure 4 with expected crushing and operating
conditions shown in Table 5. This selection was recon-
firmed through final confirmation testing at Weir after
being awarded HPGR supply contract.
PROJECT COMMISSIONING AND
RAMP‑UP
The installed Côté gold mill comminution flowsheet
(Figure 5) includes a primary gyratory crusher, secondary
cone crusher and HPGR along with dry screens between
crushing steps. The HPGR screen undersize feeds a fine ore
bin with approximately 2 hours of buffer capacity which
feeds the grinding circuit composed of a ball mill and two
vertical tower mills. Gold is recovered in both a gravity cir-
cuit which includes Knelson concentrators and an intensive
cyanidation unit (ICU) as well as a leach and CIP circuits.
The tailings from the mill are treated in a SO2/Air detox
circuit before thickening and then are deposited in a tail-
ings management facility (TMF). The Côté Gold mill has
