Pb Flotation Tests
According to the plant operating conditions, the grinding
fineness was determined as 70% passing 0.074 mm. Lime
and zinc sulfate were used as modifier, SBX and DDTC
were used as collectors, and oil No.2 was used as the frother
for Pb flotation. Pb rougher flotation tests were conducted
to determine the dosage of lime, zinc sulfate, and collector
using the controlled variable method. The tests results are
shown in Figure 3.
Based on the results illustrated in Figure 3, the reagent
scheme for Pb roughing flotation was determined as fol-
lows: lime dosage of 4000 g/t, zinc sulfate dosage of
1000 g/t, collector SBX dosage of 60 g/t, and DDTC dos-
age of 45 g/t.
Zn Flotation Tests
The Zn flotation tests were conducted using Pb flotation
tailings. According to literature, the flotation performance
of sphalerite and pyrite (Chandra and Gerson, 2009
Ejtemaei and Nguyen, 2017 Yang and Tong et al., 2018),
lime was used as pH modifier and pyrite depressant, copper
sulfate was used as an activator for sphalerite, butyl xan-
thate was used as collector, and oil No.2 was used as frother.
Zn rougher flotation tests were conducted to determine the
reagent scheme and the results are shown in Figure 4.
Based on the flotation test results, the reagent scheme
for Zn roughing flotation test was determined as follows:
lime dosage of 500 g/t, copper sulfate dosage of 200 g/t,
and SBX dosage of 100 g/t.
