resulting in less metal being leached from the co-disposed
coal waste fractions. The performance in terms of the likeli-
hood prolong ARD prevention under aggressive oxidative
conditions was in the order of AGG-BLND IRR-BLND
UNINOC-BLND CONTROL-BLND within this
investigation. Interestingly, the UNINOC-BLND out-
performed the IRR-BLND during the SAR testing phase,
once again highlighting the importance of the inoculation
method. Future studies will focus on the ARD preventative
capacity of various packing configurations and the mecha-
nistic aspects related to calcite formation in these systems.
