selectivity for sulphur is confirmed, as shown in Figure 8,
justifying its potential application in the industrial area.
Therefore, the increased selectivity for sulphides, particu-
larly advantageous in the cleaning stage, contributes to the
reduction of mass in the final concentrate (Table 2).
Au and Te Correlation
The comparison between gold analyses conducted by
Boliden’s internal chemical laboratory and the plant’s
on-stream XRF analyzer indicates a strong correlation.
Additionally, tellurium analyses from the chemical labora-
tory for both plant feed and concentrate samples (Figure 9
and Figure 10) exhibit a robust correlation. This suggests
that tellurium analyses and the results from the plant’s
on-stream X-ray analyzer can be utilized to predict the
expected behaviour of gold in more accurate chemical
analyses for metal accounting. Moreover, the tellurium and
gold grades in the samples show a good correlation with
the silver and bismuth content in the samples. Therefore,
