baseline figure of 2.2 was improved to 2.8 after 10 passes,
and 2.91 and 2.8 after 20 and 30 passes respectively. .
The results show that, after 10 passes, the 4E recovery
was improved by 5.8%, a figure which was reduced to 2.4%
after 20 passes. As observed with the earlier samples, a fur-
ther 10 passes resulted in a 1.5% loss when compared to the
baseline. In all cases, however, the Mach preconditioning
resulted in an increase in grade of around 6 g/t, this being
due to the reduced mass pull being achieved under these
conditions.
