Effect of Operational Variables on Jameson Cell
Performance in Scavenging
It was decided to focus on the copper recovery to assess
the effect of the operational variables on the Jameson cell
performance since the primary purpose of scavenging is to
minimise value losses to tailings.
The main effects plots of the operating variables (fac-
tors), calculated by averaging the mass balanced copper
recoveries at each level of the factor, are shown in Figure 7.
These plots show the mean copper recovery at each
level of the factor of interest at an average condition for all
the other factors. Even though the other factors also varied
at each level, the main effects can be assessed independently
