sulfate (ZnSo4 in Figure 2). The depressor in study does not
modify these parameters and validates its effective applica-
tion in conventional plant conditions.
The product have an adequate potential as a depressant
and can replace zinc sulfate at a “tenth” of the standard dos-
age. Even in a test without sodium cyanide used as a con-
troller of undesirable sulfides such as zinc and iron sulfides,
(Figure 5.) the results of the replacement test using BRD
are more effective at depressing zinc sulfides, matching the
recovery of iron controlled in such a way that a normal dos-
age of zinc sulfate would.
The results obtained in Zinc recovery were like those
obtained with the standard dose of Zinc Sulfate, indicating
that BRD is not only a good replacement for Zinc Sulfate
but also requires a substantially lower rate/use. It should be
noted that the small difference in copper recovery between
tests done with a total replacement versus the standard dose
of zinc sulfate can be compensated with a small addition
of a selective collector thus, maintaining similar results on
other valuables, this addition may even improve by obtain-
ing a lower displacement of zinc sulfides in the rougher
bulk concentrate.
EFFECT ON BRD-400 DOSAGE
As can be seen in Figure 3, the use of BRD at a dose of
15g/t results in a lower recovery of zinc sulfides in the con-
centrate (see dotted box). Furthermore, in the same figure
for the opposite axis it is observed that the Zinc grade is
similar to that obtained when zinc sulfate is used at a dose
of 100g/t, under the same conditions (see dashed box). At
