mineral component of the each concentrate is calculated
based on the assay results, as shown in Table 4. The data
indicate that milled with cast iron balls introduced much
more gangue and pyrrhotite minerals to the Conc. 1 and
Conc. 2 for JC ore. And the gangue minerals mass per unit
sulphide minerals for cast iron balls is much higher than
stainless steel balls. On the contrary, NK ore milled with
stainless steel balls introduced more gangue component to
the concentrates, while the gangue minerals mass per unit
sulphide minerals for cast iron balls is much lower than
stainless steel balls.
Copper and Nickel Grade and Recovery for Different
Milling Products
The Cu/Ni recovery as the function of time of different
milled products for the two ores are shown in Figure 2.
The results show that the final Cu and Ni recovery
for JC ore milled with stainless steel balls is slightly higher
than that milled with cast iron balls. Especially, the nickel
