From Figure 4 there can be several correlations established
for washability analysis:
• clean coal cumulative yield versus cumulative ash (A)
• sink/reject curve cumulative yield and ash of the
rejects at each density of separation (B)
• near gravity within 0.1 specific gravity range of sep-
aration amount of coal material within this range
indicating presence of middlings or possibility of
material being displaced during the separation (D)
• correlation between the SG and cumulative yield of
coal at each density of separation (C)
