of the magnetic product are almost entirely composed of
magnetite, with hardly any peaks from other minerals. This
indicates that the treated magnetic product is of high purity
and quality.
Phase Transformations of HMPT Products
Figure 12 shows that the main mineral phases of iron ore
in the raw ore are hematite and magnetite. After HMPT
treatment, the hematite content in the ore decreased from
50.58% to 8.98%, while the magnetite content increased
from 45.30% to 86.57% and further increased to 97.56%
after flotation. This indicates that hematite was effectively
converted to magnetite by the HMPT treatment and sub-
sequently enriched during the magnetic separation process.
Figures 13 and 14 show the SEM-EDS point scan and
mapping results of the magnetic concentrate and tailings,
