in the past three decades include Iran, Spain, China and
Mexico. Although the United States is known to possess
large reserves of strontium, they have not been commer-
cially mined since 1959. More information on reserves is

Strontium Market Dynamics
The market dynamics of strontium have undergone signifi-
cant transformations, influenced by changes in global pro-
duction patterns and technological shifts. Figure 2 shows
the historic evolution of the global production of stron-
tium, which increased almost linearly between the 1970s
and 1990s. The global production of strontium grew even
